The Ultimate Hairstyles Inspiration - Top 25 Braided Hairstyles

Braided Hairstyle has always been seen on the celebrities, be it on formal occasion or casual wear. Let's look at how they are worn on these famous faces. (Source from DailyMakeover.com)

Lucy Hale

Roughed up texture adds edge to Lucy Hale’s over-the-shoulder side braid
HOW TO DO IT:  Weave a loose braid and rub with your fingers to create imperfections. Employ an opened bobby pin to loosen small pieces throughout the braid’s length.

Jordana Brewster

The Dallas actress manages to make a Heidi hairstyle look sophisticated.
HOW TO DO IT:  Wear the braid farther back on the crown of her head while loose waves on the side perfectly frame her face.

Nicole Richie

Add oomph to an updo by creating a braided topknot like Nicole Richie’s.
HOW TO DO IT: Gather hair into a high ponytail, braid the tail and secure with a ponytail holder. Then coil the plait into a knot at the crown of the head.

Kate Mara

Kate Mara

Kate Mara’s Emmys hairstyle features the best of both worlds: a braid paired with long, cascading waves.
HOW TO DO IT: Side part hair and weave the larger section into a waterfall braid. Create a bun in back, leaving the side of the hair loose to frame the face.

Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst added an actual headband to her milkmaid braid
HOW TO DO IT: Add any embellished band will help you create an equally romantic effect.

Jennifer Hudson

Here is another easy twist on a simple style.
HOW TO DO IT: Incorporate a tiny plait into a larger side braid, like Jennifer Hudson wears here. The mini braid adds texture and detail to the look.

Emma Watson

Emma Watson

Here is an example of how shorter styles can rock braids, too, as Emma Watson‘s not-quite-shoulder-length locks prove.
HOW TO DO IT: A skinny, halo-like braided headband gives her wispy updo a bohemian feel.

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba

If it’s long locks you crave, consider adding extensions like Jessica Alba‘s. From the front, this hairstyle looks like a standard issue side ponytail...but, surprise! There’s a party in the back, in the form of a wraparound French braid that ends in a chunky knot

Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell‘s half-up braided hairstyle is another one that packs serious punch from behind where not one or two, but four individual braids come together to create this intricate pattern.

Nina Dobrev kept her own take on the half-pulled-back braided updo shiny and simple with a classic waterfall braid.

Jessica Szohr

Do up a messy pony with a simple Dutch (inside-out) braid along the hairline.

Khloe Kardashian

Edge up long, loose waves with tight cornrows like Khloe’s.

Naya Rivera

Another take on the cornrows trend? Separate the hair into three sections for chunkier braids.

Jennifer Morrison

Not only do we envy Jennifer Morrison’s perfect beach waves but she has a gorgeous waterfall braid in back to boot!

Emma Watson

Dress up a messy side braid like Emma’s by starting with a French braid.

Julianne Hough

The best part about Julianne Hough’s braided updo? Flyaways are acceptable. ;)

Blake Lively

Blake Lively

Blake Lively

Blake Lively proves you don’t need to be a Bohemian princess to rock a Heidi braid.
HOW TO DO IT:  Just pin the braid farther back on the head for a subtler version. And throw the rest of the hair up haphazardly. Is that the best option for frizz-prone hair, or what?

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried

We love this romantic twist to a classic braid.
HOW TO DO IT: Twist a section of hair on top and pin.

Cheryl Cole

One of the prettiest hairstyles we’ve seen all year — Cheryl Cole’s loose French braid at Cannes.

Zoe Saldana

Keep bangs pulled back with a simple braided headband.

French braid hair on both sides and bring the braids together in a bun at the nape of the neck

Forget the sock bun. This twirled bun of braids is so much more captivating.

Milla Jovovich

Here's a Heidi-like Alice. Pull hair into a messy updo and adorn with a small braid at the hairline.

Kristen Stewart

Add texture to your hair can make a difference!
HOW TO DO IT: Rough up your traditional fishtail braid with texturizing spray or a dab of pomade.
